Does AI know who you are? L1 measures whether models can name your brand and what they know about it without prompting.
BotScope is the observatory for AI visibility. We watch how Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, and Perplexity answer questions about you — every day, across every layer of the AI knowledge stack — so you can fix the gaps before customers find them.
AI visibility isn't a single number. It's a stack — what AI knows about you, how deep that knowledge goes, whether you're recommended, and which of your pages get cited. BotScope measures all four.
Does AI know who you are? L1 measures whether models can name your brand and what they know about it without prompting.
How deep does that knowledge go? L2 evaluates what AI says about your products, people, history, positioning, and proof.
When users ask for solutions, does AI recommend you? L3 tracks whether your brand surfaces in answer-shaped queries.
Are your pages getting cited? L4 traces which of your URLs models pull from when grounding answers.
Connect your brand. We run a watchlist of queries against every major model on a daily cadence and grade what comes back. You see the gaps — and the deltas — before they cost you a customer.
Tell us your brand, your competitors, and the categories that matter. We auto-generate a starter set of L1–L4 queries you can edit, or write your own.
BotScope queries ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, and Perplexity on schedule. We capture full responses, citations, and ranking signals — not just snippets.

OPEN THE SCOPEWhen someone asks an AI for “the best espresso machine for a beginner”, the answer doesn’t name a brand — it names a model. BotScope now tracks which specific products AI answers recommend, with per-model sentiment, plus ChatGPT’s shopping carousel: the prices it shows and the merchants it sends buyers to.
We ran 384 ChatGPT ad observations across four categories OpenAI bans outright, to test whether prohibited ads slip through. Mostly they do not. What runs instead is a playbook worth stealing — including one advertiser clearing a gambling ban by not technically being gambling.
The models we track fail sometimes. When they do, the dangerous outcome is not a missing number — it is a plausible one. Here is how BotScope reports a partial scan, and how it now repairs one without being asked.
